STORY
ZYK (Pronounced Z-Y-K) is passionate about getting good music heard. As a music marketing agency based in Toronto, we specialize in developing music release plans and marketing strategies with the ultimate goal of engaging and building a fan base. The founder, Sara Franczyk, has worked in music promotion for the past 10 years, building the careers of both independent and signed artists.

Music has always been an important part of my life. I started piano, guitar and singing lessons as a kid and then as I grew into a teenager, I became fascinated by music promotion and distribution. I completed a Music Management degree at LIPA in Liverpool, UK (where I met Paul McCartney...no biggie) while simultaneously interning at Sony Music Canada and working at multiple artist management companies in the UK. After returning to Canada, I began working as a Promotions Manager for the legendary Dale Peters of Dale Speaking Ltd. Together we successfully took music marketing and online promotion to another level, helping clients strategically grow their social media and streaming platforms. I am passionate about empowering artists and showing them what they can accomplish with a marketing strategy and plan.

I truly believe music is a universal language. Regardless of where you're from, your music taste, or who you are as person, music will always connect people around the world. My music journey started when I was just 2 years old where I discovering singing through the game 'Sing Star' on the PlayStation 2 (I killed it everytime what can I say 😉). Fast-forward to 2022, I'm a uOttawa business alum, still an artist at heart, and now use my passion for music to help other artists pursue their dreams. My background in social media management, digital marketing, and event planning has encompassed everything from strategic planning to content creation for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. I look forward to helping you capture and connect with the right audience!
